Exosite and Microchip Technology Sponsor Creative IoT Solutions at HackNTU 2016 in Taiwan

Event hosts 600 teams of makers and hackers from the US, China, Europe, Israel, and Indonesia for 40-hour developing event
MINNEAPOLIS -- August 19, 2016 -- Exosite, LLC, one of world's leading IoT cloud platform solution providers, and Microchip Technology Inc., a leading provider of microcontroller and analog semiconductors, have joined the National Taiwan University Hack Organization to support HackNTU 2016, August 19-21, at the National Taiwan University Gymnasium.
The event hosts around 600 teams of makers and hackers from the US, China, Europe, Israel, and Indonesia for the 40-hour developing event, in addition to distinguished participants from Taiwan including members from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Department of Information Technology, and Industrial Technology Research Institute.
Exosite and Microchip are rewarding students and makers who utilize Microchip's development board and Exosite's IoT platform with enterprise awards for their work brainstorming and creating innovative solutions through data provisioning, analysis, or other application development. Projects are evaluated and awarded based on creative design, technical skills, and business value. With these opportunities, Exosite hopes to encourage students and makers to utilize their skills in order to bring their innovative ideas to life.
Exosite Vice President of Professional Services, Steve VanderSanden, is serving as the major judge for the hacking competition theme "Smart Life - Internet of Things”. Exosite team members also hope that developer groups will learn how to use and optimize Exosite's solutions, and they expect to see an abundance of creative ideas coming out of the hackathon.
Also during the event, Exosite Marketing Director in Asia, Robert Yu, is sharing his insights into the next generation of IoT innovation. Not only will he provide IoT insight on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, but also showcase Exosite's successful IoT solutions and introduce what the Internet of Things is capable of in manufacturing, industrial and consumer products and processes.
