Hands-on engineering class gives Microchip customers access to Internet of Things (IoT) experts and resources for building connected products
MINNEAPOLIS -- Aug 12, 2016 -- Exosite LLC, a leading provider in the Internet of Things (IoT) platform market, today announced it is participating in the Microchip MASTERs conference August 16-18, in Phoenix, AZ, at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa.
Exosite Applications Engineer Patrick Barrett will be leading a class focused on guiding engineers through the process of taking an IoT development kit and creating a production-ready firmware application for an IoT device.
Class participants will take a standard Microchip PIC32MZ Embedded Connectivity Starter Kit powered by the ExositeReady™ SDK, add support for a new MikroBus™–based sensor and deploy their product on Exosite’s breakthrough Murano cloud platform.
“IoT can be complicated. Part of our mission at Exosite is to make it easier to create connected solutions and enable our partners’ customers to get to market faster,” said Barrett. “This class will walk through the process for developing IoT applications step by step.”
Participants can also see Exosite and NimbeLink demos at Exosite’s table in the Exhibit Lobby at the hotel, including NimbeLink’s Skywire™, which adds cellular connectivity with end-device certified modems.
Celebrating its 20th consecutive year, Microchip’s MASTERs Conference has become the premier technical training conference for embedded-control engineers. The conference has now expanded to locations in 8 countries and provides training classes at all technical levels.
Engineers can choose from classes about Microchip’s products as well as general embedded-control topics such as motor control, power-supply design, lighting control, communication protocols like USB and TCP/IP, C programming, graphic display technologies, touch sense methods and analog-system design. Most of these classes are taught by the same application and design engineers who create the products, application notes and demo boards that are used in the classrooms.
